September 1, 2017
Our school year is off to a great start! Classes have spent time getting to know each other and their teacher, learning new routines, and building a caring community. Students have been learning about their TOOLBOX tools to help them Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible at GES.
September is Attendance Awareness Month. We know that attendance is essential to student achievement, and we are dedicated to the success of every one of our students! Please make an effort to bring your children to school on time daily, schedule trips during school vacations, and communicate with our office if your child is absent.
Our students’ safety is so important to us! The parent pick-up/drop-off lot is the safest place to drop off/pick up your child at GES. Please do not let your child get out of the car in the street on Geyserville Ave. Often cars speed on this road. Also, if you park on the east side of Geyserville Ave afterschool, please wait for a teacher on crosswalk duty to help you/your child cross safely.
Back to School Night- It was great to see all of you at GES! Thanks for taking the time to be here. We hope that the night was informative and look forward to working together with you this year to create an excellent educational experience for your child!
The new multipurpose room is coming along! We are excited about the addition of this beautiful building for our students. Meanwhile, our alternative lunch plan is running smoothly. We are anticipating a grand opening by October 1st!
Thank you to Jennifer Kates, Jessica Delfino and Lesmy Smith for helping with the first day of school packets!
A special appreciation to Mike and Sharon Cowley for over 5 years of volunteer service at GES! We will miss them!
Emergency Information and More
Thank you to those of you who have signed the required forms and returned them to school already. If you haven’t done this yet, we really need this important information! If you need any help filling out the paperwork, please let us know!
