Annual Total Income

GEF raises funds to sustain vital programs in Geyserville public schools. Since 1989, GEF has shown a steady increase in support by parents, extended family of students, community members and local businesses. And, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised a record $75000 during the 2006-2007 fiscal year. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, all gifts made to GEF are acknowledged to the donor and are completely tax deductible.

Income Sources

We raise the majority of our incoming funds through:

Annual Fund Campaign mailed each Fall
Celebrate Geyserville Dinner and Auction
Business Partnerships

GEF handles all gifts with care, tracking them from our treasury through the Geyserville Unified School District receipt and expense processes assuring that the funds are disbursed per the request of the donor.

GEF also manages funds for academic and vocational scholarships granted to Geyserville High School graduating seniors. Interest income and any principal added to these funds is noted as income to GEF, and disbursements to scholarship recipients are noted as an expense to GEF.

Outgoing Funds

The majority of GEF spending is in disbursement of incoming donor gifts and scholarships with annual administration fees kept to a minimum by our volunteers. Areas of funding vary from year to year depending upon donor restrictions and school requests. Administration fees include the services of our Certified Public Accountant, insurance for our board, telephone mailing services.

Funds distributed in the 2008-2009 school year include:

Environmental Education program Grade 7
Grade 5 California History project
Drama productions

Technology in the classroom

Ropes Course for Grade 8

Arts/Square dance

Garden program
