Unhappy with your grades and need to do your assignments? There are available spots in Homework Club. Sign up for 1, 2, or 3 days! See Mrs. Quick.
There is no longer Homework Club on Fridays. It has been replaced with Friday Game Day. However, you may choose to show up to get help with homework if needed or do community service hours.
If you are playing Basketball (or any other sports of the season) and you are enrolled in Homework Club, you are excused from attending (Mrs. Quick will have the list to verify). You are expected to show up if practice has been cancelled or delayed, or when the season ends.
Community service hours are available after school in the Library. Please see Mrs. Quick.
Steelhead Festival committee at Lake Sonoma is recruiting volunteers!!
This year's Festival is Saturday, February 8th, (rain or shine) with volunteers needed from 9:00 to 4:00.
Volunteers are paired with either park rangers or full time volunteers in the park. They may be assisting with directing parking, setting up tables, handing out maps, etc. All volunteers will be assigned a red vest for the day, be given a $10 lunch voucher to use at the food trucks and there is a snack/rest area just for volunteers.
This will count as 8 hours of community service and one of the committees will sign off on the students' paperwork.
In answer to how many volunteers would we like-- As many as possible! I make reference to that old English proverb "many hands make light work".
Thank you for including this in the student meeting.
