REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2018-19
Is already open! We will only be accepting out of district applicants from Nov 1-Dec 31, 2018, no exceptions. We have a limited number of spots available for Kindergarten and 3rd grade next year, and spots will be given based on a lottery, with priority to siblings. Please see Mrs. Flores in the front office for an application or go to gusd.com for enrollment information.
We are focusing on the Using our Words Tool. This tool teaches us to use words in the “right” way, to resolve conflict, get along with others, and ask for what we want and need respectfully. Using our words to communicate helps us build caring relationships.
Ms. Elizabeth is in need of skilled parent volunteers for specific projects in the garden, a flyer went home last week. If you have carpentry skills or knowledge of irrigation, your expertise is needed! Also, various materials are needed… please let us know if you can help to expand this program, thank you!
...to Mimi Garrett for volunteering to help with our Opera Performance- our actors/actresses were fantastic!
...to Laura Equitz for helping to create our Dia de los Muertos display in the multi-purpose for multi-cultural enrichment
…to all our parent volunteers involved in Parent Club and the Geyserville Educational Foundation!
Ballet Folklorico volunteer(s) STILL needed
We need one or more volunteers to help assist Piedad Flores with this class- no dance or Spanish language experience is necessary. Classes will be held after school from 3:45-4:45 on Wednesdays. This is an enriching, cultural opportunity for our 3rd through 5th graders, but we need your support to help it run smoothly! Please contact Mrs. Flores in the school office if you can help, even once a month! It takes a village…

Enrichment opportunities at GES
Thank you so much to the parents who donated materials and helped build scarecrows last month- they turned out great!
We also appreciate the parents who helped out with our pumpkin decorating booth at Fall Colors and donated pumpkins and other supplies for this.
Please encourage your children to collect and bring BOX TOPS to school- every little bit of fundraising helps! Thanks to Tammy White for organizing this!
Sees Candy order forms are going home today- this is our next fundraiser. Please help by selling as much candy as possible to friends and family members!
We will need volunteers to help with the distribution of the candy, counting of money, etc. Please let us know if you’d like to help with this!
Our next meeting is Tuesday, November 13 at 6:00 in the MPR. Spanish translation will be provided.
Our annual fund drive will be underway soon! Letters requesting contributions to support the Geyserville Ed Foundation are going out to all of our supporters and families! Every contribution makes a big difference; if you cannot make a contribution, consider sharing the letter with your employer, friends and family members who might want to make a tax-deductible donation.
September and October were busy months for our volunteer group of parents, school staff and community members! We hope you were able to visit the Geyserville Coffee Company over the weekend of October 19 to see some of our schools' amazing art! We hosted an intimate reception at the coffee shop and at Pech Merle to say "thank you" to our contributors that help make art and other enrichment activities possible at our schools. Please support these businesses to show your appreciation!
Between the Texas Hold'em Tournament, the Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival, Asti Tour de Vine, and the Beer and Wine Garden at Fall Colors, the work of the Ed Foundation and volunteers brought in over $10,000!
Please join us at the next meeting on Monday, November 19 at 5:00 PM in Room 2 at GES. All are welcome! We will be taking the month of December off.
